Welcome to Kumeu Art in the Garden
6th & 7th November 2010
Kumeu art in the garden is one of New Zealand’s leading and fastest growing art in the garden events, a festival over two days showing almost 100 of New Zealand’s fast improving, most sought after and talented Artists and Sculptors within the gallery of four of Kumeu’s award winning gardens just 20 minutes drive from Auckland CBD down State Highway 16.
Over 1000 works of art are available for purchase at the festival direct from the artists with payment facilities that include cash, eftpos, cheque and credit card. Every purchase has a proceed back to the local charities.
We also have lunch boxes which must be pre-purchased with fine local food and the best of local beverage to enjoy whilst being entertained by outstanding artists. Each garden is themed to allow you a personalized and distinctive environment in which to lay out your rug out and relax. Lunch box options will be mailed to you with your tickets.
“We have created an international event that raises the awareness of the region, the artists and the creativity that flourishes in the area in some amazing garden galleries. It’s magic to see the interaction between garden lovers and art enthusiast that delivers a fusion of colour and light” says Graham McIntyre, founder of the event and owner of LJ Hooker Kumeu one of the larger real estate companies in the area.
The event is not-for-profit with proceeds being provided to local community groups being West Auckland Hospice, Kumeu Fire/Rescue Brigade and Kumeu Community Patrol. Organisers expect to raise over $15,000 through ticket sales and proceeds from sales.
$20 per ticket for the festival.
