Welcome to Kumeu Art in the Garden

Kumeu Art in the GardenCongratulations on organising a great day at Kumeu and excellent gardens we visited and the art that was displayed.

Clearly many people had made a great effort, with much creativity to enable Aucklanders to enjoy these achievements.

We were extremely impressed with, and enjoyed the event you all provided."

Nigel of Remuera.

Kumeu Art in the Garden is a festival over two days showing almost 100 artists and sculptors within the gallery of six of Kumeu’s award winning gardens.

“We have created an event that has raised the national and international awareness of what amazing creative people we have in this region within a gallery of some of the most beautiful gardens in the area” says Graham McIntyre, founder of the event and owner of LJ Hooker Kumeu one of the larger real estate companies in the area.

The event in 2009 raised over $10,000 for charity with the beneficiaries being Rotary Kumeu, with proceeds split between West Auckland Hospice and the Kumeu Huapai Volunteer Fire Station, the areas first response emergency team.

Organisers expect to raise over $20,000 in 2010 through ticket sales, proceeds of artwork sales, special entertainment packages (including food, beverages and music) and an on line Art Auction.
$15 per ticket for the festival.
